Medical Disclaimer
Please read this disclaimer carefully before using any reports, insights, or outputs generated by The Gene Box (“TGB”) platform.
Genetic information is probabilistic
Genomic analysis identifies statistical associations between genetic variants and health traits based on population-level research. Genetic information is inherently probabilistic, not deterministic. A genetic predisposition to a condition does not mean that condition will develop; the absence of a predisposition does not mean a condition cannot occur. Environmental factors, lifestyle, and other variables interact with genetics in ways that cannot be fully predicted from a genetic test alone.
Reports are not medical advice or diagnosis
Reports and outputs generated by the TGB platform do not constitute medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or a prescription for any treatment, medication, supplement, or lifestyle change. They are intelligence tools designed to support — not replace — the judgement of qualified healthcare professionals.
Clinical decisions require qualified professionals
Any clinical decision — including changes to medication, diet, exercise, surgical intervention, or ongoing monitoring — should be made only in consultation with a licensed and appropriately qualified healthcare professional who has access to the full clinical picture of the patient. Genomic reports are one input among many; they should not be acted upon in isolation.
TGB provides intelligence tools, not medical diagnoses
The Gene Box is a health intelligence technology company. We operate a multi-omic data platform and an AI-driven knowledge graph. We are not a diagnostic laboratory, a medical practice, or a clinical service provider. Our outputs inform clinical conversations; they do not constitute the clinical conclusion of that conversation.
Pharmacogenomics guidance is informational
Pharmacogenomics (PGx) reports identify genetic variants associated with drug metabolism and response. This information is provided for informational purposes to support prescribing conversations. All prescribing decisions — including medication selection, dosing, and discontinuation — rest solely with the qualified clinician responsible for the patient’s care. Patients must never adjust their medications based on a TGB report without first consulting their prescribing clinician.
Results require clinical context
Genomic and multi-omic results should always be interpreted within the full clinical context of the patient, alongside other diagnostic information including clinical examination, laboratory tests, imaging, and patient history. Isolated genetic findings without clinical context may be misleading or misinterpreted.
Emergencies require immediate professional care
The TGB platform is not designed for emergency medical situations. If you or your patient are experiencing a medical emergency, seek immediate professional medical care by calling your local emergency services. Do not rely on any TGB report or platform output in an emergency situation.
